What We Do
Catalyst Energy Technologies, Inc. (CET) is the developer of the innovative Smart Storage Kit (SSK).
The SSK is a state of the art, compact and economical energy storage package. As an integrator, CET uses a combination of proprietary and advanced technologies to create the SSK. The Kits use various power storage mediums including large format lithium ion batteries.
As an integrated element of the digitally interactive Smart Grid, the SSK can receive its power supply from various energy sources including the utility grid, wind, solar and even gensets to store power in a bank of custom-configured batteries.
On Grid SSK
With the aid of an interactive monitoring and communication module, stored power in the SSK can be dispatched when it is most advantageous to the utility or other end users. The SSK is an instant, pollution-free, extremely reliable tool for utilities to use as part of their fast Demand Response (DR) scheme or to shape their generation by smoothing out peak and off-peak demands.
Multiple SSKs at different sites can be combined and dispatched as a large block of power, offering utilities a means for firming-up their renewable energy supplies. The SSK is designed to be installed at or very near the end-use, thereby eliminating the need for distribution capacity during the discharge cycle.
